Ashwagandha is an herb that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. This extract is an alternative therapy that originated in India and is classified as an adaptogen. Adaptogens are herbal compounds that are used to promote balance and homeostasis in the human body. Adaptogens are useful for increasing resistance to any form of biological stress including physical, mental and emotional stress. Ashwagandha specifically has been studied for its effectiveness in improving cortisol levels, thyroid function, adrenal health, stress and anxiety, promoting immune health, and enhancing athletic performance. It may help improve strength and endurance, as well as improve weight loss results when paired with diet and exercise.
Take 1-2 capsules daily between meals as needed.
