Eden® Shiro Miso is pure koji fermented North American family farm organic soybeans and rice. It carries forward ages of traditional miso making. Shiro Miso is mellow, the sweetest of all Eden misos, and the lowest sodium. Japan folk lore has it that miso was a gift from the gods. Shiro Miso is best for Summer dishes, soup, stew, salad dressing, dip sauce, marinades and noodle sauce.
Miso Soup
Optional ingredients - Tofu, dried tofu, shiitake, greens, daikon, louts root, turnip, leeks, noodles, etc.
Rinse wakame, soak in cold water to cover for 5 minutes and dice, or add flakes directly no soaking required Bring water to a boil. Add onions and wakame. Simmer 3 minutes. Add carrots and simmer 5 minutes. Reduce flame to very low. Add miso and simmer 2 minutes. Do not boil. Garnish with green onion. Serves 4.
Refrigerate after opening.
